Not every ad needs a creator shoot. This workflow covers the fastest path from "we need creative for this product" to a paid ad with performance data flowing back into Socialscale — no production timeline required.
How this connects across Socialscale
Before you start
Setup checklist
0/3 done
Step 1: Confirm the product is ready
AI Video Studio pulls product details directly from Product Center when you
reference a product with @product — so the output is only as good as that
catalog entry. Check the image and price are current before you generate
anything; see
Sync Your Product Catalog
if it isn't.
Step 2: Generate in AI Video Studio
Open AI Video Studio and reference the product directly rather than describing it from scratch. Set your Format (aspect ratio), Resolution, and Duration to match where the ad is going — 9:16 for Stories/Reels/ TikTok-style placements.
Pro tip
Generate two or three variants of the same concept — different hook, different pacing — before committing to one. Creating a variant from an existing generation is faster than starting a fresh prompt each time, and gives you something to A/B test instead of betting everything on a single version.
Step 3: Bring it into Content Library
Add the generation you're moving forward with into Content Library so it's tracked the same way any other content is — scored, and ready to be matched with ad performance once it's running.
Step 4: Launch it as a paid ad
Push the video live through your connected ad platform (TikTok, Meta, or Google Ad Manager) the way you normally would. Once it's running, the Ad Agent matches performance back to the same content record automatically — no manual export or spreadsheet needed to see how it did.
Note
Ad performance won't appear instantly the moment the ad goes live — see How Content and Ad Performance Data Stays Up to Date for how the Ad Agent's refresh cycle works.
Step 5: Compare against creator content
Once numbers come in, check this AI-generated video's Hook score and CTR against organic and creator-driven content for the same product in Content Library. AI Video Studio is one more creative source competing for attention, not a separate silo — it should be judged on the same Content Quality and performance criteria as everything else.
What good looks like
A working loop here means going from "we need creative" to a live, tracked ad in hours, not a production cycle — and being able to say honestly whether the AI-generated version out- or under-performed a creator-shot alternative, because both are sitting in the same Content Library being scored the same way.
