"How does content actually drive sales?" is usually a question from someone who doesn't want the mechanism — they want three numbers and a trend line. This workflow is about pulling the account-wide story out of Socialscale quickly, for people who don't log into the platform themselves.
How this connects across Socialscale
Before you start
Setup checklist
0/3 done
Step 1: Start from Dashboard, not from a spreadsheet
Open Dashboard, set the time range, and pull the headline numbers: Attributed Creator GMV, Total Views, Engagement rate, and Collaborations (see Dashboard: your reporting home). This is your top line — the number a stakeholder skims first.
Note
Attributed Creator GMV is narrower than the blended Revenue figure used elsewhere — it's storefront sales only. If you want the fuller picture including ad revenue, that's Step 2.
Step 2: Add the blended Revenue, Cost, and ROAS view
Underneath the headline number, add the account's blended picture — total Revenue (ad + storefront + content-commerce) against total Cost (collaboration + ad + manual), and the resulting ROAS (see Understanding Revenue, Cost, and ROAS for exactly what feeds each side). This is the number that answers "did this pay for itself," which GMV alone doesn't.
Step 3: Name the top performers
Pull your top 3–5 creators and top 3–5 content pieces by Revenue per video and ROAS (see Compare creator and content performance for how to build this list). Naming specific creators and specific posts is what makes a report land — "content drove €X" is abstract, "this creator's post drove €X at this ROAS" is a story someone remembers.
Pro tip
Include one underperforming example alongside the winners, with a plain explanation (low Product Fit, spend outpacing return). A report that's only wins reads as marketing spin, even internally — a credible report shows you know where the weak spots are too.
Step 4: Connect it back to what's next
Close with what the numbers change about what you're doing next cycle — which creators get renewed, which products get more creator attention, whether budget shifts toward performance-based collaborations (see Run a Performance-Based Creator Campaign). A report that ends at "here's what happened" is weaker than one that ends at "here's what we're doing about it."
What good looks like
A report a stakeholder can act on in five minutes: one headline number, one blended Revenue/Cost/ROAS view, a handful of named creators and content as evidence, and a clear "so what." Everything in it should trace back to a real, attributed number in Socialscale — not an estimate, and not something you have to caveat with "roughly."
