How storefront sales are tracked

A follower clicks a creator's storefront, buys on your site, and the sale credits that creator — here's the mechanism and the two settings that control it.

Storefront tracking answers one question automatically: which creator gets credit for this sale?

How it works

  1. A follower opens a creator's storefront and clicks a product.
  2. They land on your website — the Socialscale pixel notes which creator sent them.
  3. If they buy within your attribution window, the sale is credited to that creator.
  4. Their commission accrues automatically and shows in their wallet.

The two settings that matter

Both live in Settings → Creator Hub:

  • Commission rate — the percentage of each credited sale the creator earns
  • Attribution window — how many days after the click a purchase still counts (commonly 30)

If sales look wrong

  • No sales tracking at all → check the pixel is installed on your site; without it nothing can be credited
  • A creator says a sale is missing → it probably fell outside the attribution window; widening the window is a policy choice, not a bug fix

Pro tip

Every credited sale also shows up in the creator's numbers and the product's numbers, so you can see which creators and products actually sell — see How to track a creator's performance.
