The three ways creators earn

Commission, campaign payments, and performance payouts — what each one is and when it's paid.

Everything a creator earns in Socialscale comes from one of three sources. All three are paid automatically from your Marketing budget.

1. Storefront commission

A percentage of every sale through the creator's affiliate storefront, at the rate you set in Settings → Creator Hub. Always on — it earns even when no campaign is running.

2. Campaign payments

What you agreed to pay in a campaign — for example, a fixed amount per approved video in a UGC campaign. Released automatically the moment you approve the submission in the campaign's Tasks tab.

3. Performance payouts

For performance-based campaigns, creators are paid as the metric grows — views on a post, for example — checked daily and paid into their wallet as it accrues. No approval step per payout.

Can a creator earn more than one at once?

Yes, and that's normal — a creator can earn storefront commission and a campaign payment for the same period. Each source is a separate earning for a separate thing: passive selling versus content you briefed.

Watch out

Performance payouts happen automatically, so an empty Marketing budget interrupts money creators are actively earning — keep it topped up while campaigns run.
