Marketing budget and Credits

The two balances in your top bar: one pays people, one pays for the AI. Here's how to tell them apart and top them up.

Your top bar shows two balances. They're separate, they pay for different things, and they run out independently.

Marketing budget — pays people

Campaign payments, storefront commissions, and performance payouts all come out of your Marketing budget. You top it up once; Socialscale pays each creator from it automatically, as the official payer — tax and compliance included.

Top it up by clicking the Marketing budget amount in the top bar.

Socialscale charges a fee on Marketing budget, depending on your plan — current rates at socialscale.ai/pricing.

Credits — pay for the AI

Every video the AI processes (product matching, scoring, transcripts) costs a small number of credits. Buy more with the Buy Credits button in the top bar; see what's using them in Settings → Credit Usage.

How to tell which one ran out

  • New content stops getting scores and product tags → Credits
  • A creator's payout doesn't arrive → Marketing budget

Watch out

Payouts accrue automatically, so an empty Marketing budget doesn't just pause new campaigns — it stops money creators are actively earning. Keep it funded while campaigns run.
