Three different balances live under Settings, and it's easy to conflate them: your subscription (what you pay Socialscale for the platform), your Credits (what funds AI Workforce and tracking), and your Marketing budget (what funds Campaigns and creator payouts). This article is about the first one — the actual Socialscale bill.
Update your payment info
Manage your billing details and payment methods.
Subscription Plan
View and manage your current subscription plan.
Credit Usage
Track your credit consumption and usage history.
Three separate balances
- Update your payment info and Subscription Plan — under Settings → Integrations and Settings → Subscription — control your actual Socialscale bill: which plan you're on and the card or billing details tied to it.
- Credits — funds AI Workforce and tracking usage specifically.
- Marketing budget — funds Campaigns and every creator payout.
See Credits and marketing budget: two separate balances for the distinction between the second two — this article is only about the first.
Note
Running low on Credits or Marketing budget doesn't affect your subscription, and changing your subscription plan doesn't top up either of the other two. All three are billed and managed independently.
What to check where
- Payment declined or expired card — Settings → Update your payment info, not Credit Usage
- "What plan am I on" — Settings → Subscription Plan
- "Where did our AI Workforce spend go" — Settings → Credit Usage, which is about Credits consumption, not your subscription bill or Marketing budget
Pro tip
If you're budgeting for the quarter, that's three separate line items: your subscription cost (fixed, tied to your plan), Credits top-ups (variable, tied to AI Workforce and tracking usage), and Marketing budget top-ups (variable, tied to campaigns and creator payouts). Don't combine them into one number when forecasting — they scale independently.
Who should own this
Subscription and payment info is usually an Owner-level responsibility (see Team & Permissions: Roles and Access) — Operators can typically run day-to-day campaigns and content without needing access to billing details at all.
