Team and permissions: roles and access

Bring teammates into your account with the right level of access — from full ownership down to read-only reporting.

Every account has one Owner and can have any number of Operators and Viewers underneath — go to Settings → Users to manage who has access and at what level.

The three roles

  • Owner — full control, including billing and the ability to disable other users. There's exactly one per account.
  • Operator — can actively work in the account: manage content, creators, and campaigns. This is the right level for most day-to-day team members.
  • Viewer — read-only. Can see dashboards, reports, and content without being able to change settings, launch collaborations, or edit anything.

Pro tip

Default new teammates to Viewer first, then upgrade to Operator once they're actually going to be actively managing campaigns or content. It's a smaller step to grant more access than to walk back a mistake made by someone who had more access than they needed.

Inviting someone

Invite Member sends an email invitation with a chosen role attached. The Invitations table separately tracks every invite ever sent, with status Pending or Accepted — useful for following up on an invite that hasn't been accepted yet without having to ask around.

Managing existing members

Each active member has Edit (change their role) and Disable (revoke access without deleting their history) actions. Disabling is the right move for someone leaving the team — it removes access immediately without losing the record of what they did while they had it.

Note

Changing someone from Operator to Viewer doesn't undo actions they've already taken — campaigns they launched or content they tagged stays as it is. Role changes are forward-looking, not retroactive.

A reasonable default setup

For most teams: one Owner (whoever set up the account), Operator for anyone actively running campaigns, tagging content, or managing creators day to day, and Viewer for anyone who just needs visibility — leadership checking Dashboard, an agency partner who needs read access without edit rights.
