Import creator content only when they mention you

Auto Import Future Content isn't all-or-nothing — scope it so only posts that actually mention your brand or products get pulled in.

Requires first

Turning on Auto Import Future Content for a creator doesn't have to mean tracking their entire feed. It has a scope choice built in: import everything, or import only the content where they actually mention your brand or products.

How this connects across Socialscale

The two scopes

When you turn on Auto Import Future Content on a creator's profile, you choose between:

  • All content — every public post the creator publishes gets imported going forward, regardless of what it's about
  • Mentions only — only posts where the creator actually mentions your brand or a specific product get imported; everything else is left alone

Pro tip

Mentions-only is the right default for a broad affiliate or recruitment roster — creators you don't have a tight ongoing relationship with, where you only care about the content that's actually about you. Full tracking makes more sense for a small group of core creators you're actively briefing and reviewing holistically.

How a "mention" gets detected

Detection runs on the same underlying matching Socialscale already uses to tag content to your catalog — spoken mentions and visual/contextual product cues, checked against what's synced in Product Center. That's why a thin or outdated product catalog weakens this filter the same way it weakens the Content Tagging Agent: if a product isn't in Product Center, content mentioning it won't register as a match.

Watch out

If mentions-only tracking looks like it's missing content you know is about you, check Product Center before assuming the filter is broken — a product that isn't synced can't be detected as a mention.

Changing scope later

The scope choice lives on the creator's profile alongside the Auto Import toggle itself, so it's easy to revisit — start a new creator on mentions-only while you're still evaluating the relationship, then switch to full tracking once you're briefing them regularly and want visibility into everything they post, not just what mentions you.

This vs. the Content Tagging Agent

It's worth keeping these two straight, since they sound similar:

  • This filter decides what gets imported into your Content Library in the first place
  • The Content Tagging Agent (see Configure Your AI Workforce) decides, for content that's already in your library, which product and creator it should be tagged to

Mentions-only import means less noise reaches your library at all; Content Tagging still runs on whatever does.

Workflow playbook

Track only what creators post about you

Get a creator's branded content without their whole feed — scope Auto Import to mentions-only instead of importing everything.
