Creator Recruitment and My Creators look similar but hold different things: Recruitment is people you might invite; My Creators is people who already accepted. Nobody in Recruitment has a storefront or gets tracked as a creator until they cross that line.
How this connects across Socialscale
Where contacts come from
Two sources populate the list:
- Shopify — once connected (Settings → Integrations), your customers appear here automatically, tagged with source "Shopify" and, where available, their spend and order count
- Manual — anyone you add yourself: a lead from a DM, a referral, a creator you found on social
Pro tip
Shopify-sourced contacts come with real purchase history attached — spend and order count are visible right in the list. That's the fastest signal for prioritizing who to invite first; see Turn Shopify Customers Into Creators for the full recruitment flow built around this.
The three states
A contact moves through exactly three states:
- Contact — in your list, not yet invited
- Invited — you clicked Invite; they've been sent into your Creator Hub sign-up flow but haven't completed it
- Accepted — they finished sign-up and now appear in My Creators with an active storefront
There's no "declined" state tracked explicitly — a contact that doesn't convert just stays at Invited indefinitely, which is worth knowing if you're trying to read your list as a funnel.
What you can see per contact
Beyond source and status, the list shows spend, orders, country, and Last sync (when their data was last refreshed from the source, most relevant for Shopify contacts). For manually added contacts without enough associated activity, several of these fields legitimately show "No data found for this email" rather than a real number — that's expected, not an error.
Inviting
Clicking Invite on any contact sends them your Creator Hub sign-up link. It's a one-click action per contact — for inviting in volume, work down the list sorted by whatever signal matters most to you (spend, order count, country) rather than inviting top-to-bottom by default sort order.
Note
Invited doesn't mean committed on your side either — you're not obligated to activate every accepted creator in a paid collaboration. Accepting just gets them a storefront; whether they end up in an active, compensated collaboration is a separate decision covered in Choosing a Collaboration Type.
