Automate creator and post approvals

Decide whether new creators and their posts need your manual sign-off, or should flow straight through automatically.

Requires first

By default, new creators and their posts wait for a human to look at them. That's the right call early on, when you're still figuring out who you want in your program. It stops being the right call once you're trying to scale past a handful of creators a week.

How this connects across Socialscale

Automated approvals
Creator Recruitment

The two switches

Go to Settings → Creator Hub Approvals. There are exactly two toggles:

  • Auto-approve creators — new sign-ups through your Creator Hub link get an active storefront immediately, with no manual review step
  • Auto-approve posts — content creators post gets tracked and scored without waiting for someone on your team to approve it first

They're independent — you can automate one without the other.

Auto-approve creators

Automatically approve new creators without manual review.

Auto-approve posts

Automatically approve new posts without manual review.

A reasonable default as you scale

Most teams land somewhere like this:

  • Early on (small, hand-picked roster): both off. You're vetting who you work with, and volume is low enough that manual review isn't a bottleneck.
  • Growing (recruiting broadly, via Turn Shopify Customers Into Creators or an open sign-up link): auto-approve creators on, auto-approve posts off. Let anyone with a genuine account join and get a storefront, but keep a human check on what actually gets tracked and scored as official content.
  • Mature program (established brand guidelines, trust in your AI Content Scoring Agent to catch the outliers): both on, with spot checks instead of full review.

Pro tip

If you turn on auto-approve posts, lean harder on the AI Content Scoring Agent's brand safety score — it's your safety net once a human isn't reviewing every post before it counts.

Watch out

Auto-approving creators doesn't bypass anything else — a creator with an auto-approved storefront still needs a synced Product Center to have anything to sell, and their sales still only count within your Attribution Window. Approval speed and program setup are separate concerns.

Why this matters for recruitment

If you're planning to recruit at volume — pulling in Shopify customers, running an open sign-up campaign — manual approval on both switches becomes the bottleneck, not your outreach. Automating creator approval specifically is usually the first thing to turn on once recruitment picks up.
